reason for being
API-K develops and proposes operational solutions for the geosecurity of people and vehicles in the mountains, as well as the connection of equipment and materials in “IoT” mode. The API-K ecosystem makes simple and active objects communicate with each other or connected to the Internet by LoRa Green Technology: beacons for people and machines, IoT sensors for equipment.
In direct contact with people and companies in the field, API-K engineers are extending uses to new universes, such as pastoralism or biodiversity observation. To quench their thirst for innovation and accelerate the advent of a simple, concrete, eco-efficient Smart Mountain, they have created API-K Lab and federated private and public partnerships around it.
Activities and Services
Within API-K, API-K Lab is a team that supports start-ups and SMEs, active in the digitalisation of the mountain. It helps them to design and implement the models of tomorrow, with a view to efficiency, competitiveness, attractiveness, with a strong environmental and ethical orientation.
API-K Lab is a non-profit organisation that provides them with its skills and experience in the fields of embedded systems, information technologies, intelligent understanding of networks and energy issues.
Since October 2020, API-K Lab is a Digital Innovation Hub, an organisation referenced and certified by the European Commission, through the Digital Europe Programme.
