Our 6 Solutions

> The supply and installation of the antennas that make up the API-K network.
> The operation of the data processing servers.
> The availability of applications and software, corresponding to each subscribed use, on different types of terminals, if necessary.
> The supply of the API-K Pro beacons (FIND-R, MARK-R, TRAK-R) associated with the subscribed use.
> The supply of sensors and professional applications of the equipment to be connected in “IoT” mode for subscriptions purchased.

> The availability of the technical team to provide operational support.
> The maintenance of any equipment made available (antennas and beacons) to ensure the best possible level of availability.
> Bringing together solutions for service providers not limited to the mountain industry (hotels, smart building, parking, water, waste, …) and integrating them into the API-K network.

USE 1

SAFETY OF MOUNTAIN PROFESSIONALS

NEEDS
Monitor and manage personnel while implementing the Avalanche Control Plan or during delicate operations. “Accompanying” workers in isolated areas. Signaling an emergency or accident and requesting assistance. Provide a warning when approaching a restricted area.

BADGE

API-K MARK-R

SOLUTIONS
> Monitoring movement on the mountain.
> Visualization of movement on interfaces (smartphone, PC).
> Creation of groups by types of users or by professional teams.
> Alert button with geo-positioning to contact emergency services.
> Interactivity between beacons.

ADVANCED SOLUTIONS
> Additional activation of the “Search and Rescue People in Distress” function allows emergency services to be alerted quickly, without the victim needing to move around or use their mobile phone.
> Additional activation of the “Secure Restricted Areas” function provides a topographical and interactive representation of the terrain, with the beacons of restricted areas to be temporarily avoided.

USE 2

FIND AND RESCUE PEOPLE IN DISTRESS

NEEDS
Find and rescue:
> people buried under an avalanche or rock fall,
> outdoor activity enthusiasts in distress during the winter or summer,
> professional staff in distress or difficulty.

BADGE

API-K MARK-R

SOLUTIONS
> Receive and transmit a distress call from an API-K beacon.
> Establish initial search data: last GPS position and identification of the beacon to be searched.
> Connect the API-K FIND-R to the API-K MARK-R beacon being searched for, in “point-to-point” mode.
> Dispatch emergency services to the precise position of the person in distress, from several kilometers in the air using the LoRa network, and on the victim in the proximity mode.

USE 3

GEO-POSITIONING FOR MACHINES & VEHICLES

NEEDS
Geo-positioning for snow groomers, snowmobiles, shuttles, to prevent collisions, optimize the work and management of the fleet… Allowing each snow groomer, or snowmobile driver to visualize their position and the position of other vehicles on the resort.
Visualizing the positions of shuttles and buses on their routes.

TRACK-R

API-K TRACK-R

SOLUTIONS
> Visualization, on a detailed map and in real-time, of all vehicles and machines (snow groomer, snowmobile, bus, etc.) equipped with API-K beacons, circulating at the resort.
> Creation of groups to filter their visibility by type of machine/vehicle or service.
> Management of the available displays according to configured profiles.
> Track the location and route of each vehicle. Vehicle log available in the database.

ADVANCED SOLUTIONS
> Additional activation of the “Secure Restricted Areas” function provides visualization and warning when approaching an area that is temporarily or permanently restricted: presence of a cable during winch damage, preventive triggering of an avalanche, etc.
> Additional activation of the anti-collision function enables a snow groomer or a snowmobile driver to be warned when another machine (equipped with an API-K TRACK-R beacon), or a ski area user (carrying an API-K MARK-R beacon) approaches their immediate area.

USE 4

SECURE RESTRICTED AREAS

NEEDS
Defining restricted areas: geographical areas (such as natural parks where access is prohibited), areas with temporary restrictions (preventive avalanche triggering, winch damage), or areas restricted to certain people. Warning/stopping professionals or users travelling near a defined restricted zone.

BADGE

API-K MARK-R

API-K TRACK-R

SOLUTIONS
> Visualization on a very precise map of the area(s) where traffic is restricted or prohibited (interface on smartphone or PC).
> Send an alert to the person (carrying an API-K beacon) or to the vehicle (equipped with an API-K beacon) approaching a restricted area.
> Send a simultaneous alert to a professional in charge of managing or completing a task in an area with traffic, parking, or stopping restrictions to interrupt dangerous work.
> Creation of GeoZones on a 3D map.
> Permanent or contextual activation of each area by an administrator or locally in the field, according to protocol.

USE 5

GROUP TRACKING

NEEDS
Knowing who and where people are in a group that is supervised by professionals (ski instructors, guides, etc.) or workers on maintenance jobs, when needed and in real time…
Managing people with invisible disabilities (intellectual disability, autism, heart disease or serious illness), which require close attention and regular safety checks.

BADGE

API-K MARK-R

SOLUTIONS
> Visualization of the position of the different individuals carrying an API-K beacon and composing a group, on a detailed map.
> Simple warning system between group beacons and the group leader’s beacon.
> Remote observation of the person with an invisible disability who, thanks to their API-K beacon, can continue to practice an outdoor activity with relative autonomy.

ADVANCED SOLUTIONS
> Additional activation of the Bubble Effect* function warns of the abnormal distancing of a group member.
*Bubble Effect: Determining a zone/bubble of inclusion around the group, integrating each group member, with permanent interactions between them.

USE 6

CONNECTED EQUIPMENT

NEEDS
Securing and optimizing the technical and economic performance of all types of equipment controlled by sensors. Preventative maintenance for early identification of potential equipment and machine breakdowns. Prevention of wear and tear on parts, by adjusting the speed at which equipment operates to weather conditions, influx of customers, etc.

SOLUTIONS
Using IoT sensors, API-K offers business operators in mountain areas solutions for the management of their equipment.
> Collection and retrieval of the data for status sensors on a CTM (Centralized Technical Management) interface.
> Management and optimization of operations through alert thresholds.
> Organization of performance indicators.

ADVANCED SOLUTIONS
In addition, API-K offers equipment management solutions derived from the current market that may require specific development, based on specifications that have yet to be defined:
> Car park management.
> Customer paths.
> Integration of services by third-party operators (solutions for the hotel industry, waste and management, etc.).
