When it is in this mode, the beacon does not update its GPS coordinates but continues to communicate in order to be found by the rescue services. To get out of the automatic standby mode, just shake the beacon. You are ready to go ! <\/p>\n\n<p>The KIP may go into automatic sleep mode while in a moving car for it does not consider it to be in a &#8220;sports&#8221; motion.&#13;\nWake it up by shaking it.
