A KIP can’t find a DVA, and can’t be found by a DVA. The 2 devices use radically different technologies (radio waves for the KIP vs. electromagnetic fields for the DVA), so they can’t communicate with each other. To secure the proper operation of the 2 devices, place them at a distance of 30 cm from each other (one in the left pocket and the other in the right pocket of a jacket, for example).
